DeskSpace

What Deskspace does is generating four independent desktops arranged in cubic form, so that the user may organize windows and programs suitably to his or her actual needs. The program offers many options, from the configuration of hotkeys and shortcuts to the aesthetic aspects of the cube and its background. Moreover, there is no performance loss when it is running - despite of being beautiful, it demands very little from the hardware resources.
Still, as I realized there was no way I could run certain necessary applications under Ubuntu but still could not cope anymore with the mentioned problem, I began searching for third-party programs to solve this. Fortunately, I quickly discovered Deskpace by Otaku Software, which actually bought an older freeware called Yod’m 3D and built its own improved version based on it.
